How the App Works

KPop Live Alarm operates entirely on your device:

• All alarm rules and settings are stored locally on your device
• Notification monitoring happens locally without sending data to any server
• The app only reads notification metadata (app name and text) to match your configured keywords
• All processing occurs on your device in real-time

Analytics

We use Mixpanel for basic anonymous analytics to understand app usage patterns and improve the user experience. This includes:

• Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., number of alarm rules created)
• App performance metrics
• Feature usage frequency

No personal information or notification content is ever sent to analytics services. All analytics data is completely anonymous and cannot be traced back to individual users.

Advertisements

Permissions We Request

The app requires certain permissions to function:

• Notification Access: To read notification titles and detect when your selected apps receive notifications containing your keywords. We only process this information locally and never store or transmit notification contents.
• Display Over Other Apps: To show alarm screens when a matching notification is detected, even when your phone is locked or you're using another app.
• Battery Optimization Exemption: To ensure the app can monitor notifications reliably in the background without being killed by the system.

Data Storage

All data (alarm rules, app selections, keywords) is stored locally on your device using Android's built-in database system. This data:

• Never leaves your device
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app
• Can be cleared at any time through the app settings

Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
